Richard J. Warren is the President and Managing Attorney of Warren & Warren, P.C., a law firm in downtown Brooklyn, New York, specializing in child welfare law, adoption, and not-for-profit corporate law. He graduated from the University of Miami Law School with a Juris Doctor degree in 1977 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974 from Syracuse University. Mr. Warren is admitted to the practice of law in New York and Florida, as well as the Federal Court of Appeals in the Eastern and Southern districts of New York.

Mr. Warren has broad experience since 1977 in the practice of child welfare law. He has represented foster care agencies and adoptive parents in thousands of cases in New York City Family Courts and Courts throughout the State of New York. He also represents corporations as general counsel, including not-for-profit corporations, educational institutions, and real estate developers. He routinely advises corporate executives, boards, and human resource departments on complex organizational and employment-related matters. He has also served on the boards of several not-for-profit organizations as both a director and officer.

Mr. Warren has lectured regarding legal issues involved with the foster care system to attorneys, professionals involved with child protective work, and prospective adoptive parents. He is recognized throughout the City of New York as an expert in these matters and is frequently consulted by his peers, agency directors, and clients to provide advice on the most complicated legal matters. In his career, Mr. Warren has been trial counsel in thousands of cases in the Family Courts, among them the most complex and trend setting.

Mr. Warren resides on the North Shore of Long Island with his wife of thirty years, and is a father of two children
