Ava McIver

Ava Mciver graduated from St. Francis College with a BS in Administration, Long Island University with a Masters Degree in Public Administration, and is a Certified Paralegal. She has been employed at Warren & Warren P.C. since 1998 working full time while also attending school. Ms Mciver has had a variety of responsibilities while at Warren and Warren PC and is familiar with the many facets of the firms practice. Presently she is the office manager and lead paralegal supporting the firm’s litigation practice and trial counsel in our most complex litigation. Her hard work and dedication contribute greatly to the culture of “zealous advocacy” at Warren & Warren, P.C.

Lavern Whyte

Lavern Whyte is the firm’s adoption paralegal. She is a graduate of Hunter College and Adelphi University with a BA in Sociology and Women’s Studies and a Masters Degree in Social Work. She obtained her license as a Master Social Worker (LSW) in 2014. Ms. Whyte also has a teaching certification from Teachers College in Kingston Jamaica. Prior to coming to Warren and Warren PC, she worked in the not for profit arena providing community based services to families. Ms. Whyte also acted as a paralegal for a New York City Marshall for almost thirteen years. Ms. Whyte brings a broad base of experience and knowledge to the firm. Ms. Whyte is experienced with all types of adoption matters and has familiarity with the personnel, filing procedures and requirements of each of the adoption courts in New York City and surrounding counties.
